The 20/20 customer referral programme: 20% credit for you, 20% saving for them

By Mark Taggart ·

Three people linked by a referral reward, beside the headline "20/20 Customer Referral Programme"

Formerly the CreateLMS 20/20 Customer Referral Program, now part of Skills Velocity.

How does the 20/20 referral programme work?

The programme is designed to be transparent from the start. There are no hidden tiers, no complicated points systems and no vague promises, just a straightforward exchange of value when an introduction leads to a new Skills Velocity customer.

  1. An existing client introduces an organisation that is exploring learning technology.
  2. If that organisation becomes a customer, the referring client receives 20% credit towards eligible services.
  3. The referred organisation receives a 20% saving on initial costs.

We track introductions carefully so both parties know where they stand.

What’s in it for you?

Referral credits are designed to strengthen the platform you already use, not to sit unused in a spreadsheet. As an existing client, your 20% credit can be applied to:

  • Annual renewals: keep your learning platform investment predictable.
  • Custom features or configurations: shape the platform to how your organisation actually works.
  • Premium support: deeper guidance during rollout, change or expansion.
  • Course design services: content that engages learners and supports real outcomes.

What’s in it for your network?

Your introduction gives peers a consultative conversation about learning technology, not a scripted sales pitch. Referred organisations receive 20% off initial costs, and space to explore whether Skills Velocity is the right fit, whether that’s onboarding, compliance, skills development, reporting or rollout planning.

A platform you can recommend with confidence

Referrals work best when you can stand behind the platform you recommend. Skills Velocity averages 2 support tickets per 100,000 users per week, so you’re connecting peers with a dependable platform and a team that treats learning technology as a long-term partnership. See our case studies or get in touch with any questions before referring.

How to get started in three steps

  1. Log your introduction. Contact us with the organisation’s name and contact, so both sides receive the correct benefit if the referral converts.
  2. Make a simple email introduction. A brief three-way email is enough; no deck or lengthy brief needed.
  3. We take care of the rest. Our team leads a consultative, zero-pressure conversation about their learning goals, challenges and timeline.

Our human-first promise

If a referred contact decides Skills Velocity isn’t the right fit, they’ll be treated with care and respect throughout. No aggressive follow-up, no manufactured urgency, and no awkward conversations for you as the referrer.

Referral programme FAQ

Who can take part?

Only organisations that are already clients can earn referral credit. If you’re not a client yet, you can still speak with our team first.

What counts as initial costs?

Typically first-year platform fees and agreed implementation or onboarding services quoted at the start of the engagement. We confirm eligible items before any proposal is issued.

When is referral credit applied?

After the referred organisation signs and pays its first invoice. We notify the referring client by email.

Can I refer more than one organisation?

Yes. Each successful referral earns its own 20% credit.

Do referral credits expire?

Credits remain available for 12 months from the date they’re issued, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
